Anyone out there?
Well, two games jumped out at me this week:
sf +11 SEA
phi -4.5 DET
I'm a totally biased Niner fan, but this team has fought hard in their first two games, and I don't know if Seattle is as good as their 2-0 record.
The Eagles got some lucky breaks against the Vikings, but they look like a damn good team. The Lions have scored a special teams or defensive TD in each of their first 2 games, and they're being out-gained by 100 yards a game.
I'm also liking these three to be ugly, under games:
dalWAS under 35
pitMIA under 32
cleNYG under 37
Betting anything under 40 makes me nervous, but these are some UGLY teams.
And then there's a bunch of intriguing underdogs I'm thinking about:
ari +10 ATL
sd +10 DEN
gb +6 IND

Re: Week 3
Sun, September 26, 2004 - 2:10 AMI think Green Bay is a good pick. Farve and Green will pick apart Indy's D and GB's D is good enough to hold Manning and James to under 3 TD's

Re: Week 3
Mon, September 27, 2004 - 1:00 PMGoddamn, the Niners were ugly. Luckily, I tempered my homer sentiments and went small on SF and big on Philly. I also jumped on the pit-MIA under and the Raiders in the 2nd half after I saw how ugly Tampa Bay looked.
What do you all think about the Cowboys-Redskins tonight? I'm staying away from the line, but I've got a few bucks on the under 36. I'm a little nervous about Portis breaking some big runs or Testeverde burning the Washington blitz, but overall, I'm thinking this is going to be an ugly game. -

Re: Week 3
Tue, September 28, 2004 - 12:59 PMToo late to post but I took Dallas to win.
Gibbs is still getting used to coaching again as you could see from the bad clock/timeout management.
He tried to run Portis up the gut all the time which doesn't work either. I think Washington will get better every week though as Gibbs gets more used to his team.
I also jumped all over the Miami/Pitt under in the hurricane. That was too easy. The over/under should have been 24 or something but I've never seen an over/under set less then 32.
