Okay folks , it's that time again, football season is among us. It is a time for rejoice. A time for beer, and wings and Pickems. That's right folks, it's time for the second annual Rah Rowdy Pro Pickems. And as a bonus, we have the first annual Rah Rowdy College Pickems. Both of these pickems are @yahoo.com on the Fantasy page in the sports section. Also, I you don't make it in the Yahoo groups, you can sign up in the Rah Rowdy ESPN Pickems. There are one group for Pro-Football and one for College. Or if you want, you can sign up for all of the groups. It'll be one big pickem party. The limit for the the Yahoo groups are 20 spots and are private. The ESPN groups are public so the sooner you sign up the better. No point spreads. Just pick who's gonna win and the tie breaker. Only the ESPN College Pickem has Confidence Points and that's explained on the page. The more confidence you give a team, the more points you get. All the info is listed below. No money involved, no final prize or trophy, just braggin rights. Happy Pickem and LET'S ROCK.

Week 4

I jumped in early on these three lines:
GB -7 nyg
nyj -3 MIA
den -1.5 TB

I'm thinking the Giants, Fins, and Bucs are 3 of the worst teams in the league this year. The Jets are now -6 and the Broncos -3, but I'm thinking about going back for more on those.

A couple others I'm looking at:
ARI +3 no
ne -5 BUF

Arizona has played well this year, and it's supposed to be 96 in Phoenix on Sunday, which has always boded well for the Cardinals in the past. Travis Henry might be able to keep Buffalo close, but I think the Pats are just too good right now.

And finally, here are 5 unders I'm thinking about. The second number is the average total of each teams games so far.

Week 3

Anyone out there?

Well, two games jumped out at me this week:
sf +11 SEA
phi -4.5 DET

I'm a totally biased Niner fan, but this team has fought hard in their first two games, and I don't know if Seattle is as good as their 2-0 record.

The Eagles got some lucky breaks against the Vikings, but they look like a damn good team. The Lions have scored a special teams or defensive TD in each of their first 2 games, and they're being out-gained by 100 yards a game.

I'm also liking these three to be ugly, under games:
dalWAS under 35
pitMIA under 32
cleNYG under 37

Betting anything under 40 makes me nervous, but these are some UGLY teams.

And then there's a bunch of intriguing underdogs I'm thinking about:

Week 1 picks

I started off 1 for 1 with the "over 44" last night. Here are my 4 favorite games this week:

bal -3 CLE
HOU -4.5 SD
ten -3 MIA
PHI -9 nyg

Picking all favorites is kind of sketchy, but what can you do. I love the Baltimore game. Jamal ate the Browns alive last year, and I don't see their defense being any better this year. And what is Jeff Garcia and William Green going to do against the Baltimore D?

Houston's run D worries me a little, but it sounds like the Chargers O-Line could be a train wreck. I think the Houston triplets will have a fun time against the Chargers' D.

The Titans game has me worried because it seems a little too good to be true. I don't see the Fins being able to move the ball, and I'm wondering if they're D isn't going to get old this year. Maybe the Titans D-line will have troubles, but I don't think the Fins will be able to take advantage of it.

The Giants lost their last their last 8 in 2003, the Eagles add T.O. and the Freak. I see a long day for Warner and maybe Eli.

Other games I like, but I'm not convinced of yet:

Packers - I love Ahman Green, he has gotten me so many points in my fantasy league. I want to have his babies. Plus teams seem really confused that the Packers have a running game.

Cowboys - Yes, like everyone else in America I think Parcells is an asswipe, but...what the hell is his secret to turning teams around??? I think they will take this, but in my heart I hope they get their asses handed to them.

My picks for week 12

Jets on Jaguars (Jets -4) - Jacksonville is terrible, Leftwich is a rookie and Fred Taylor is hurting. Pennington will have a good game like he always does and Curtis Martin has been doing well lately. Plus it's in NY.

under on Seattle/Baltimore (37) - both teams have good defenses and low scoring offences. I think it's an easy call.

under on Carolina/Dallas (33) for same reason
